All About Dandelions.

Dandelions is a small, locally owned and operated, children’s modeling agency based in the Surf Coast of Victoria.  The gorgeous talent is mostly from local area’s around the Surf Coast of Victoria ie; Torquay, Jan Juc, Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Anglesea as well as from Geelong and a handful from Melbourne.

The unique style of the children from this coastal area has been a huge success proven through the many bookings and jobs the children have received. By keeping Dandelions fairly small(80-100 children) the quality of talent is great and the service provided to client’s and parent’s is personal and honest.

Dandelions began in October of 2006 and is approaching it’s 6th year of business. Building a quality reputation in the advertising/marketing and retail world by supplying beautiful unique babies and children.  Large retailers such as Target, K-Mart and Myer seeing the value in their look, making regular bookings for their various advertising campaign’s as well as some Point of Sale Advertising in their stores.  The childrens headshots are very natural and relaxed so the initial impact of the photograph represents so much of their personality and look. So what you see, really is what you get.!!  After all, they are children and that is what I am representing.

I have worked in the photographic advertising field for over 10 years, the last 5 years as a stylist and producer, and after having my own children(3) and wanting to keep my hand in I decided to start up my own agency, as many of the big Melbourne agency’s have, from home offices.  My previous work as a photographic stylist and producer has given me business relationships with a lot of great contacts and this is where Dandelions began and is building on every day.

Dandelions is in constant contact with the best casting agents in Melbourne and receiving briefs for TVC, film and theatre from a range of sources.  If acting is your calling I can make some recommendations for training and development of this skill and help get you started with unpaid roles as extra’s.  There is a lot of opportunities for the children and young adults from this region and Dandelions is pushing it’s way in to this exciting market to create more and more opportunities for our children.

Some exciting news for Dandelions in 2010, in May Dandelions submitted an application to the VCAA (Victorian Childrens Agents Association) to become a member of this group who are the voice of the most respected children’s agents in Victoria. This was accepted and It is an honour to be included in this group and I will keep you all updated.
